Angela Bassett, 64, stuns in yellow sequin gown on Emmys red carpet: 'She never ages'
Angela Bassett knows how to make a statement.
On Monday evening, the 64-year-old walked the red carpet at the 74th Annual Emmy Awards, which took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Calif.
Before the evening's awards were handed out, television's brightest stars slipped into their best evening wear to pose for a slew of fans and paparazzi — and Bassett's vibrant look stole the show.
The "Black Panther" star stepped out in a strapless yellow gown with a sequin bodice and satin skirt. The dress, designed by Dolce & Gabbana, also featured a sash that draped over one of her shoulders and knotted at the waist.
The mother of two accessorized her vibrant dress with matching yellow peep-toe heels and a bright gold bedazzled purse that resembled a boombox.
For glam, her dark, shoulder length hair was styled in loose waves while a berry lip, thick eyeliner and smoky gold eyeshadow completed the look.

On Twitter, Variety posted a video of Bassett's dreamy look as she walked the red carpet.
In the clip, Bassett smiled for the cameras while holding her hands behind her back. As she moved down the press line, the actress put her hand on her hip and laughed as she struck a pose.
"Angela Bassett is beautiful on the Emmys red carpet," Variety wrote alongside the video.
In response, fans gushed over the "9-1-1" star's ageless look.

Over the weekend, Bassett stepped out in another colourful and stylish look, but this time in pink.
To promote her latest film, "Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever," the actress attended Disney's D23 Expo wearing a pink suit jacket and matching pants from PERTEGAZ's Fall/Winter 2020 collection.
Under her blazer, Bassett donned a hot pink v-neck top and completed the look with silver hoop earrings, beachy waves and a baby pink manicure.
