Annabel Croft’s late husband dismissed first sign of cancer as indigestion
Former tennis player Annabel Croft revealed her late husband, Mel Coleman, experienced persistent pains in his side before being diagnosed with cancer.
Initially dismissed as indigestion, the pains turned out to be a symptom of colon cancer, which later spread to other organs.
Coleman died from sepsis caused by a perforation from a tumour after a trip to Portugal, just 16 weeks after his diagnosis.
Croft and Coleman were married for 30 years and had three children. They even started a tennis academy together during lockdown.
Inspired by her husband's love for the show, Croft participated in Strictly Come Dancing following his passing.
