Anne Hathaway Has Some Thoughts On A 'The Devil Wears Prada' Sequel

Despite not being included in the rumours currently circulating of a sequel, Anne Hathaway has touched on the subject of a The Devil Wears Prada sequel before.

The Oscar winner spoke about a potential sequel in March 2024 while attending the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards. 'I don't think a continuation of that story is probably ever gonna happen,' she told E! News on the red carpet.

'The truth of the matter is — with any film — all we can do is make it,' she continued. 'The reason that movie felt so special was that we were a team and we did that work, but really it's the love that everybody pours [in]to it.'

It was recently revealed that a sequel to the beloved 2006 film was in development at Disney, with both Blunt and Streep, who won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of ice queen editor-in-chief Miranda Priestley in the film, set to return.

Fever for the film is clearly running high off-screen too, as a musical adaptation of the original film, with an original score by Elton John, will open in London's West End in October, with Vanessa Williams set to star as Priestly.
