Anya Taylor-Joy looks like a prairie princess in a sheer white dress and straw bonnet
ICYMI, the 2024 Cannes Film Festival has officially kicked off meaning A-List cinematic royalty will descend on the French Riviera for the next 10 days in only the chicest of ensembles. It combines trend-led daytime looks with red carpet awards szn glamour and the occasional risqué party 'fit for a constant fashion spectacle. Can you tell we're excited?
While Heidi Klum has already debuted the ballgown to end all ballgowns in a gorgeous scarlet red hue, Anya Taylor-Joy has proved you don't have to break the bank to look seriously stylish. Arriving a day in advance of the festival [Monday 13 May], the actress was spotted in a frilled collar blouse from Damson Madder, the London-based label Fashion Editors and fashion girlies can't get enough of RN.
Though if her latest outfit is anything to go by, she's only just begun to flex her fashion muscles.
Ticking off naked dressing, the corsage trend and cottagecore all in one look, Anya stunned in a Jacquemus strapless see-through white dress layered over a white bodysuit. The figure-hugging design was decorated with 3D floral appliqués over the bodice, skirt and lengthy train that she carried off the floor, delicately held in one hand.
Anya added Aquazzura white strappy heeled sandals that tied up around her legs. She accessorised with an oversized straw bonnet that rested against the back of her head, tied in place around her neck with a long black ribbon. Her long blonde hair was tucked between the hat and her back, and she opted for a natural beauty look with just a slick of mascara and a red lip providing a pop of colour.
Her designer dress might be out of our price range, but we're taking inspo from Anya's accessories and looking to add a straw hat to our own summer dresses.
If this is her day one look, we can't wait to see what else Anya has planned for her festival 'fits.
