There's Video of Prince William's Awkward Interview Post-Breakup from Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton and Prince William are undeniably a royal power couple, but it wasn't always smooth sailing. Despite the picture perfect facade that comes with being a royal, they do, in fact, have rough patches like every other human on Earth.

One such time was when they broke up entirely after a family holiday gone wrong. A fan account resurfaced a video from that period this week to remind us all that even future kings and queens have faults, and we're not going to lie, it's pretty awkward.

In the clip — which was filmed in 2007 after Kate and Will's brief breakup — Prince William and Prince Harry are fielding questions alongside singer Joss Stone during a press conference. The cringey part? One reporter didn't get the split memo, and asked directly about Kate.

"How are things going with Kate?" they asked. Cue three tense faces.

"Uh, well, uh," William began, as Harry dissolved into giggles. "I've got lots of friends coming," Will said. "So, you know, everyone's going to be here tonight, and it's going to be a great night."

Harry seemed to delight in the momentary discomfort. "Very well avoided, William," he cheekily said.

Will laughed, adding "Very diplomatic."

As we all know, things between Kate and Will eventually worked out in the end. All's well that ends well?
