Welcome to October, Aquarius. This month brings Halloween and a chance to say goodbye to a chapter of your life. There was a lunar eclipse last month that may have led to unexpected endings. There's another eclipse this month, on Wednesday, October 2, this one a solar eclipse that occurs in Libra and your philosophical 9th House. While lunar eclipses are associated with endings, solar eclipses, which happen in conjunction with the new moon phase, often indicate beginnings. This month's could bring an unexpected opportunity your way, likely in an area that's out of your comfort zone. However, eclipses can be draining, so make sure to get lots of sleep around this date.

A week later, on Wednesday, October 9, the expansive planet Jupiter goes retrograde in your 5th House of Pleasure. Its backward dance will last through February 2025. These effects won't be as pronounced as Mercury retrograde. You might not even notice it. However, between now and then, you'll likely experience shifts in the way you relate to pleasure. This could mean exploring different kinks or non-sexual enjoyment, like starting a new hobby (perhaps after being nudged to do so by this month's eclipse).

Then, the transformative planet Pluto ends its retrograde and goes direct in Capricorn and your heady 12th House on Friday, October 11. When Pluto goes direct in your 12th House, it means that you'll be able to release some built-up fears. If there's something that you've been working through, whether with a therapist or just on your own, you should be able to integrate the work you did into your day-to-day life. However, this transit is mostly important because it continues Pluto's goodbye tour of Capricorn, which began last month. Pluto first moved into the sign in 2008 but shifted into your sign earlier this year and is currently briefly visiting Capricorn, giving everyone a chance to say goodbye to a chapter. It will move back into Aquarius in November and stay there through 2043. Think back to 2008. Did you undergo any major life changes? That chapter is now coming to a close. On a global scale, Pluto moving into Aquarius signifies a change of perspective from the individual to the community.

Then, also relating to communication, on Sunday, October 13, the divine messenger Mercury shifts into your social 10th House. This transit is absolutely amazing for networking. While we can't promise anything in this job market, the stars are feeling generous with you. If your situation allows, it's okay to use this transit to ask for a raise or the promotion that you've been eyeing.

You're a sign associated with community, Aquarius, and when sweet Venus moves into your 11th House of Friendship on Thursday, October 17, it's a lovely time to connect with friends to remind yourself of your place in your community. Life moves so much quicker than we think. It's easy to get caught up in work, but no one really regrets spending more time with their friends, so make sure to see yours. Just be aware that Thursday, October 17, is also an Aries full moon affecting your 3rd House of Communication.
