In a new video posted to the Sussex Royal Instagram page, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared a heartfelt message with their followers to celebrate the New Year.

“Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and thanking you for your continued support!” the duo captioned their post. “We’ve loved meeting so many of you from around the world and can’t wait to meet many more of you next year. We hope 2020 brings each of you health and continued happiness.”

Among the slideshow of images looking back on 2019 is a new photo of Prince Harry and seven-month-old Archie smiling in front of the ocean, which has caught our attention thanks to baby Archie’s adorable look.

Keeping in line with his mother’s affinity for meaningful fashion choices, Archie’s outfit had a hidden message of its own.

Dressed in the Cocobear hat from New Zealand label Make Give Live, Archie’s hat was handmade by local community groups, and provides one to those in need of warm winter gear for every item purchased. Available for $49 NZD (approx. $42), the hats are currently available to pre-order in three colours and fit children from newborn to three years old.

Archie was also dressed in a pair of $51 Ugg Erin booties for an added sentimental touch. They were a gift from Australian Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove on his parents’ royal tour of the country back in 2018.

Completing the look was a sold-out Sprout Dog Cord Jacket from U.K.-based label Boden, who also designed the cashmere bear sweater that Archie was seen sporting in the Sussexes most recent Christmas card.

There’s no denying the “Archie Effect,” as many retailers are benefiting from the attention that the royals bring to independent and sustainable brands. Many collections have already sold out, but if you’re looking to shop the outfit, his Christmas jumper and Ugg boots are still available.
