Ariana Grande travels more than most of us as she goes from film set to concert stage to award show and film festival red carpet. And even through her busy flight schedule, the actress still manages to look as poised as her Wicked character, Glinda, while at the airport.

The Yes, And? singer was seen arriving at Haneda Airport in Tokyo yesterday, wrapped up in a pillowy black cape-like coat so oversized that it covered nearly her entire body, enveloping her like a sleeping bag. Grande styled the puffy outerwear with sheer white lace tights with a vintage floral pattern, and, most unexpectedly, ivory heels. These were Valentino Garavani by Alessandro Michele’s new Bowow Pumps—each with a rounded toe, a small block heel, and a bow detail at the front. While most people would opt for more comfortable footwear — such as trainers or Birkenstock clogs— for a long travel day, Grande is, evidently, not most people.

The rest of her ensemble was just as polished and unexpected. For jewellery, Grande wore a pair of pink pearl stud earrings, and for glam, she added on some sparkly blush eyeshadow, a baby-pink manicure, and a high, wavy ponytail with wispy side pieces.

With her latest travel look, Grande joins the throngs of stylish stars—including Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Jennifer Lawrence, and Catherine Zeta Jones—who’ve taken it upon themselves to elevate airport dressing over the past couple of years.
