Happy October, Aries. This month brings the unexpected to your love life and ushers in the start of spooky season, not to mention a full moon in your sign. During September, when the sun moved into Libra, your focus turned to the love in your life. You likely felt more interested in quiet nights with lovers or sweet dinners with friends rather than partying. However, know that there's a new moon and solar eclipse in Libra, which occurs in your romantic 7th House of Partnership on Wednesday, October 2. Eclipses are stressful, cosmic wildcards. You might want to continue taking it easy, as tequila or lack of sleep will only make blowouts around this date more likely. Because new moons and solar eclipses are associated with fresh starts, however, some Aries may experience a frantic rom-com worthy meet cutes around this date, such as bumping (literally) into the love of your life at a coffee shop.

Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, goes retrograde in your 3rd House of Communication on Wednesday, October 9. As the first sign of the zodiac (and a fire sign at that) you can be impulsive and speak without thinking. During Jupiter's retrograde, which lasts from now through February 2025, your task is to reevaluate your communication styles. This lesson may feel especially pertinent if you had any arguments with partners on or around the eclipse.

Pluto, the planet of transformation, has been retrograde since May. During this time, you likely reevaluated some of your friendships. This meant that you grew in one way or another, and, as a result, the people you reach out to in times of need shifted. When the makeover planet goes direct in your 10th House of Social Status on Friday, October 11, you actually may surprise yourself by feeling called to reach out to anyone you lost touch with. Additionally, this planetary shift could lead to promotions or welcome news at work. Pluto is currently making its final visit to Capricorn before moving back to Aquarius, where it will stay through 2043. Pluto first moved into Capricorn in 2008. Think back to that time and the changes happening in your life. That chapter is about to close, but what comes in its place will move you along in the direction you've been working towards.

Expect to feel creatively inspired on Sunday, October 13, when divine planet Mercury moves into your intense 8th House. Ruled by Scorpio, the 8th House feels things very deeply. As a result, this is a time for writing poetry or finally getting started on that novel you've been talking about. Expect to feel a bit moody all the way through Thursday, October 17. This date sees lover Venus, who rules romance but can also act as a muse, entering your philosophical 9th House. However, what you'll notice even more on Thursday, October 17 is a full moon in your sign. It will be a gorgeous night, and you might feel your psychic powers heightened, so consider working with tarot or keeping a dream journal by your bed. However, a bit like the eclipse, this high-octane cosmic event could lead to anxiety or arguments, so try to get some rest.

The sun moves into intense and erotic Scorpio on Tuesday, October 22. The next few weeks are a profoundly transformative time, and you may feel called to enjoy a makeover.
