Audrey Hepburn’s Former Switzerland Home Can Be Yours for $21 Million
While no one can replace Audrey Hepburn, you can now live like the famed Hollywood starlet.
An 18th-century villa in Switzerland once belonging to the late My Fair Lady actress has landed on the market with Knight Frank for 19 million Swiss francs (or about $20.8 million). Hepburn, who died in 1993 at the age of 63, owned the palatial property from 1963 up until her passing, Bloomberg reported. Less than 10 years later, her sons sold the estate to Katharina Beaujolin and her husband, Jean-Marc Beaujolin, the current chairman of ECH Ltd.

“The house is called ‘La Paisible,’ which means ‘peaceful place,’ and it really is a peaceful place,” Katharina told Bloomberg, adding that Hepburn was her favorite actress growing up. “It has quite the amazing atmosphere.”
Located in the scenic town of Tolochenaz, roughly a half-hour outside of Geneva, the Grade II-listed mansion is set on over 40 leafy acres and measures approximately 10,763 square feet. Altogether, there are 12 bedrooms and eight bathrooms spread across the abode’s three levels. Since the Beaujolins moved in in 2001, they put the place through a sensitive renovation. Some of the changes they made included modernizing and repositioning the kitchen, remodeling the bathrooms, updating the electrical systems, and adding extra guest rooms.
Highlights of the digs include its terra-cotta and oak parquet flooring, in addition to its five fireplaces, two stately staircases, library, and elevator. Rest assured, Hepburn’s legacy isn’t lost: A plaque out front bears the name of the Breakfast at Tiffany’s star. In addition, there are white rosebushes planted in the backyard that the actress received as a 60th birthday gift from Givenchy, Bloomberg reported.
Outside, you’ll also find a 50-foot heated swimming pool and parking for up to 15 cars. Katharina told the outlet that her family used to throw parties here in the summer for friends and that one of her six sons actually held his 150-person wedding on the grounds. Now that the couple’s children have moved out, the Beaujolins are comfortable parting ways with the oversized property. “We’ve decided to do some downsizing, because it’s just the two of us in this big house, and it felt like the right moment to make a change.”
