Avril Lavigne is staying true to her style roots.
On Wednesday, the 37-year-old took to Instagram to share a few snaps from her latest photoshoot promoting her newest single, "I LOVE IT WHEN YOU HATE ME" and fans are loving that she "hasn't changed a bit" in the last two decades.
"I ignore all the warning signs. I fall for you every time. Don’t call me baby. I LOVE IT WHEN YOU HATE ME," she captioned the post.
The photos were met with applause for her new song, her consistent aesthetic, and for her seemingly ageless skin.
"Miss Avril, you haven't changed a bit and I love it. It's the consistency for me. Not to mention you don't look like you've aged a day since 'Sk8r Boi' days," one fan commented.
"Yes, Canadian queen! Loving the new song! So excited about the album. Your classic pop-punk style is so iconic and so nostalgic," wrote another. "Thank you for being you and never changing."
"Love these photos so much. Your wardrobe is perfection."
"Queen of never aging," someone else chimed in.
"Punk princess!" another wrote. "You seriously haven't changed at all. Thank you for never selling out. Your song rocks and so do these pics."
"You don't look a day older than 25."
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in December 2021, Lavigne shed some light on reprising her pop-punk princess title, two decades after the release of her debut album, "Let Go."
"It's so crazy," she said. "I really went back to what sounds I originally was influenced by at the beginning of my career. To the core, I'm a kid from a small town who listened to bands like Blink-182 and Green Day and NOFX in high school, and I tapped into that. It just felt like it was time to make this type of an album."
