Avril Lavigne and Tyga are officially an item.

The Canadian songstress, 38, was seen sharing a kiss with the American rapper, 33, in the City of Love.

On Monday night, the unexpected celebrity duo attended the Mugler x Hunter Schafer party during Paris Fashion Week. A day after, they were also spotted front row at the Y/Project Fall 2023 Ready-to-Wear fashion show, where they wore matching all-black leather outfits.

Rumours of the musicians getting close began after the "Girlfriend" singer was seen hugging the "Taste" rapper following a meal at Nobu restaurant in late February. At the start of March, they were also caught arriving together at Kùkù restaurant in Paris for Leonardo DiCaprio's party.

The new romance comes on the heels of Lavigne and her ex-fiancé calling off their engagement after 10 months, where singer Mod Sun, 35, proposed to the "Complicated" singer in Paris last April.

While this celebrity relationship drama might be one for the books, who exactly is Lavigne's new boo, Tyga?

He's worked with some of hip-hop's top artists

For someone who grew up listening to rappers like Eminem, Lil Wayne and Fabolous, it can only feel like a dream working with some of your idols.

Tyga's career began in 2007, after he gained some recognition — particularly from Gym Class Heroes lead vocalist, Travie McCoy — from his debut mixtape, "Young On Probation." The following year, Tyga signed with Lil Wayne's record label, Young Money Entertainment, which was a subsidiary of Cash Money Records at the time.

Within a couple of years, Tyga saw some of his first big collaborations with the release of Young Money's "Bedrock" — featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj and others — and the mixtape "Fan of a Fan" with Chris Brown. After the release of his third album in 2013, "Hotel California," Tyga had already worked with the likes of Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa and Future.

Throughout the 2010s, Tyga continued working with big names in the music industry, including Kanye West, Justin Bieber and 50 Cent. While also being featured on various singles that went platinum, such as Nicki Minaj's "Dip" and Iggy Azalea's "Kream," Tyga released his seventh album, "Legendary," in June 2019.

He grew up in Compton...maybe?!

Tyga, whose real name is Micheal Ray Stevenson, was born on Nov. 19, 1989 to Vietnamese and Jamaican parents. While he originally claimed he grew up in Compton, Calif. until moving to Gardena in Los Angeles County, debate about his upbringing arose in December 2012.

Leaked footage from an unaired television series, "Bustas," showed Tyga claiming he grew up in a "well-to-do" home in the San Fernando Valley, where his parents drove a Range Rover. While there's been speculation that his claims on the show were satirical, Tyga responded to the leak on Twitter saying, "When you're 14 and ambitious, you don't give a f— about anything. Scripted TV — isn't that what we all live for? Hahahaha."

He shares a son his ex-girlfriend, Blac Chyna

A month after meeting in October 2011, Tyga and model Blac Chyna began dating. Their son, King Cairo, was born on Oct. 16, 2012.

Shortly after, Tyga purchased a $6.5 million home in Calabasas, Calif., and eventually proposed to Blac Chyna. However, the rapper and socialite eventually split ways in 2014.

Still, both parents are dedicated to raising their son, and they both even have tattoos of his name.

He's been romantic with several big stars

Avril Lavigne is certainly not the first high-profile celebrity whom Tyga has been romantic with. Following his split with Black Chyna, rumours surfaced of the rapper dating Kylie Jenner, a relationship that saw major criticism since, at the time, Jenner was 17 and Tyga was 24. The former couple first met during Kendall Jenner's 16th birthday bash, where Kylie was 14 and Tyga was 21.

Tyga has also had flings with other stars over the years, like model Chanel Iman and "Cheetah Girls" member Kiely Williams. Rumours of the rapper getting romantic with celebrities like Iggy Azalea, TikTok star Bella Poarch and Toronto-born model Sophia Body also arose in the past.

It was even revealed in May 2019 through court documents that Tyga married model Jordan Craig in 2010, until the rapper filed for divorce a month later. Yes, that's the same model who now shares a child with Brampton, Ont.-born NBA star Tristan Thompson, who's now dating Khloé Kardashian, who's the sister of Rob Kardashian, who now shares a five-year-old daughter, Dream, with Tyga's ex-fiancée, Blac Chyna.
