Avril Lavigne rocks plunging yellow blazer in new photoshoot: 'Queen of not aging'
Avril Lavigne is celebrating her pop-punk comeback in the new edition of Basic Magazine.
On Wednesday, the 37-year-old singer-songwriter took to Instagram to share new images from her latest magazine cover photoshoot. In the new photos, the "Bite Me" singer sports a plunging canary yellow blazer dress with crystal fringe detailing on the shoulders. Lavigne looked glamorous with her signature smokey eye makeup and long blonde tresses dip-dyed in a bright orange shade.
Fans immediately weighed in on the look, calling the singer "gorgeous" and "a true punk princess."
"This is your best look yet, I'm absolutely in shock!" one follower commented.
"A goddess on fire! I love this cover," another fan said. "You really are a true punk princess!"
"A queen of not aging! A queen of music! A queen of beauty! A queen of everything!" added another user.
"I am so amazed by the fact that after all these years, you are still staying true your original look and style. It's refreshing!" raved another fan.
In March, Lavigne solidified her music comeback when her recent album "Love Sux" debuted in the top 10n on Billboard's Top 200 chart.
The singer first gained recognition at the age of 17 with catchy hits like "Sk8er Boi" and "Complicated," and over the last 20 years, the eight-time Grammy nominated superstar has sold more than 40 million albums.
In the exclusive interview, Lavigne revealed to the magazine how she has managed to balance the demands of her career and prioritized her needs by mastering the art of saying no.
"You have to have a strong vision and really push everything in that direction to achieve that. You have to be clear of what you want and don’t want and you have to speak up a lot," she said. "That’s what I find, and it’s never easy."
"That’s part of the fight and it makes it worth it in the end," Lavigne added.
