'Bachelor' star Arie Luyendyk and Lauren Burnham's wedding featured a major 2019 trend
Another Bachelor couple has tied the knot!
Former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham said “I do” on January 12th during a romantic ceremony at the Haiku Mill in Maui, Hi.
The couple, who met and fell in love in 2017 during season 22 of the hit reality series, invited 100 of their closest friends and family to witness their union, fittingly officiated by Bachelor host, Chris Harrison.
The wedding featured several familiar faces for Bachelor fans, including former stars Sean Lowe and Catherine Guidici-Lowe and executive producer Elan Gale.
The 37-year-old former race car driver and his 27-year-old bride had added cause to celebrate, having recently revealed they’re expecting their first child, a girl in June.

Burnham, who wore a custom gown by designer, Hayley Paige, revealed she had already chosen her dress when she discovered she was pregnant.

“I was freaking out because I got pregnant, and I didn’t want to have to change my dress, but she [Paige] was there to reassure me the entire way,” the bride told US Weekly. “Everything was so perfect. The dress was stunning. I just loved everything about it.”
The bride and designer teamed up to design a “princess-inspired” wedding gown with crystal detail in a soft grey colour for the fairytale nuptials.
“Lauren’s gown was created from a very romantic and imaginative place,” Paige said. “The overall look was a true collaboration because she selected some of her favourite elements from my newest collection.”

The unique design has even inspired Paige to include the bride’s signature colour into her future collection.

“I love the playful harmony of femininity and gentility,” the designer said. “This is actually a new colour for us and selected by Lauren herself. Seeing how she [got] married at the famous Maui sugar mill, we shall title this the Haiku colourway going forward!”

Burnham’s wedding dress is right on trend, with many brides opting to forego a traditional white gown in favour of soft blues, pinks and greys.
