Here's Why There Was No 'Bachelorette' Rose Ceremony Last Night

Things are looking quite different on this historic new season of The Bachelorette. Obviously, having two different bachelorettes on a quest to find their soulmates is...new. But Gabby Windey, 31, and Rachel Recchia, 26, know what they're doing. And they'll be running this show together following a totally chaotic end to Clayton Echard's season of The Bachelor that sent both finalists home in order to bring back a previously-eliminated Susie Evans. Yeah. Drama.

The one silver lining of last season's theatrics? Gabby and Rachel are closer than ever and ready to meet their matches, side-by-side.

The end of this season is approaching and there’s been a lot to unpack. And, even though Rachel struggled a bit with Gabby getting more attention early on, both women seem to be on the path to finding their one true love.

ICYMI, here's a look at every contestant that has been sent home on The Bachelorette so far:

Week 8:

Bach Nation actually didn't get a rose ceremony this week. And that's because none of the guys got eliminated.

Each gal only had three guys left after Rachel unexpectedly eliminated Tyler mid-date last week. And instead of the beloved ceremony, viewers were launched straight into the Men Tell All episode. The ceremony is available for viewing online, though, on ABC.com.

Week 7:

There actually weren't supposed to be any guys getting the boot this week, but if there's anything this season of the Bachelorette is good at, it's catching everyone off their guard.

Tyler Norris

Tyler has won plenty of fans during this season of the show, but it just wasn’t in the cards for him and Rachel. She broke up with him on hometowns right before he planned to introduce her to his family, which is kinda-totally awkward.

After the two spent the day together at the Wildwood Boardwalk in New Jersey, Rachel realized she felt closer to Tyler’s competition. So, she sent him packing after he told her that he was in love with her.

Week 6:

Spencer Swies

The University of Chicago MBA candidate and 2017 West Point grad from Chicago was sent packing by Gabby, who just didn’t see a future with him. When he returned for the Men Tell All, though...he had some nice facial hair. Let's just say that Bachelor Nation Twitter was thirsting over his new look.

Nate Mitchell

There’s been a lot of drama surrounding Nate this season, but it was clearly tough for Gabby to send him home. Nate, who has a daughter, was eliminated on a one-on-one date with Gabby after she explained that she felt like they were just in different places in their lives. She said she didn't feel ready to be a mom RN.

No hard feelings, it seems. Nate posted on Instagram, telling Gabby, "I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have shared this experience with you. You are truly an amazing person both inside and out."

Logan Palmer

Logan switched teams midway through the season, causing quite a kerfluffle, but it still didn’t do him much good. He had to go home after contracting COVID-19. Don't worry, he's coming back to find love on Bachelor in Paradise, which airs in September.

Ethan Kang

The advertising exec never really got off the ground with Rachel—so she sent him home. But maybe he'll be making a return as the next Bachelor? Some big fans hope so.

"What a wild and unforgettable journey it has been. From the first night at the mansion to the last night on the cruise in Amsterdam, I will be forever grateful for the experience," he wrote on IG.

Week 5:

James Clarke

James, affectionately nicknamed "Meatball," got a second chance from Rachel, but things still weren’t meant to be. So, he was sent packing. ICYMI: The MBA Candidate at DePaul University was actually supposed to be on Clare Crawley's season before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, per Reality Steve.

Mario Vassall

Fans were pretty shocked about this one. Despite receiving Gabby’s first impression rose, Mario, the athletic trainer from Illinois, was eliminated after the group traveled to France. It seemed that the two just didn't have a connection.

Michael Vaughan

Michael was also sent home after spending time with Gabby in Paris. I guess things didn’t spark in the City of Love for the pharmaceutical sales rep from Long Beach.

Week 4:

Hayden Markowitz

Hayden, this season's villain, was sent home in a swirl of controversy. In episode 3, he called Gabby “rough around the edges" to her face, and then Meatball told Rachel that he said they “don't hold a candle” to his ex. Yikes.

Rachel confronted him about it, and he quickly said goodbye to the group. Hayden also didn't make an appearance at the Men Tell All special episode in week 7.

Jordan Helman

The software developer and motocross racer from Tampa was sent home. Though he seemed like a nice guy, maybe his quiet demeanor wasn't enough to get to week 5.

Quincey Williams

This life coach from Miami also didn't quite make the final cut. Perhaps his little fun fact of not having sex for a year and a half at first impressions didn't impress Gabby and Rachel as much as he thought.

Kirk Bryant

Game over. Kirk, a football coach at Texas Tech, from Luddock, Texas, per Reality Steve, was eliminated.

Week 3:

Week 3 was a little different: The men had to decide which team they wanted to be on. Things got a little sticky when three men told Gabby they preferred Rachel and three others rejected Rachel’s rose. (James was one of them—but he later decided to stay.)

Termayne Harper

The self-declared “crypto guy” and CEO of trading company, the Doji Club, from Illinois decided he didn’t want to stay. That's a bummer.

Alec Garza

Alec, a traveling photographer from Houston, took himself out of the competition. He made a reappearance on the Men Tell All, though—seems like a nice guy.

Week 2:

Jordan Vandergriff

Jordan got a one-on-one with Rachel, who declared him “perfect,” but not right for her. The two adrenaline junkies (Rachel, a pilot, and Jordan, a race car driver) could've been a match made in heaven, but she wasn't feeling it. On the Men Tell All, Rachel expressed that she thinks he won't have a hard time dating in the future.

Chris Austin

The mentality coach was eliminated by both Gabby and Rachel after they learned about comments he made to other contestants saying he would leave if Gabby and Rachel got intimate with anyone else. Yikes. Talking about fantasy suites that early on never seems to go well.

John Anderson

The English teacher from Nashville was sent packing. But it might have been a smart move on Gabby and Rachel's part—after all, he's got some modeling photos on his IG...was he really there for the right reasons?

Brandan Hall

Brandan, a bartender and freelance production coordinator from California, according to Reality Steve, didn’t meet his match. But he's only 23, so there's plenty of time for him to appear on Bachelor in Paradise in the future!

Colin Farrill

The sales director from Chicago with the famous-sounding name was sent home. According to Reality Steve, he also does improv and comedy sketches. What were his true motives on the show?

Ryan Mula

The investment director from Boston was eliminated. He's still private on Instagram as of right now, so maybe he really was a genuine guy looking for love.

Week 1:

Three men were sent packing after the first episode. But the reveal was cordial, respectful, and rather drama-free.

Host and former Bachelor Jesse Palmer invited everyone to the first rose ceremony, but before it could start, Rachel and Gabby pulled the unlucky contestants aside.

Now, Roby Sobieski, Justin Young, and Joey Young will no longer continue the quest for Rachel and Gabby's hearts. "We've kind of come to the decision that there might not be a connection there for us," Rachel told the men.

Roby Sobieski

The 33-year-old magician and consultant was sent home Week 1. The ladies just didn't feel a spark with this beau despite the fact that he performed some interesting card tricks for the two of them. Sounds like the magic just...wasn't there.

By the time he returned for the Men Tell All, he debuted a brand-new platinum blonde 'do. He joked around with Gabby and Rachel, asking them if they would've kept him on the show if he'd had the new hair color then...after all, he was only a contestant on the show for a total of four hours.

Justin Young

Neither one of the season's twins made it past the first round. Justin, 24, took the twinning idea a little too far: “I don’t know if they’re trying to get us to go on double dates, planning for the future, but definitely hard to form a connection when there’s multiple people sitting here,” Rachel said. “Not into it."

Joey Young

Joey, the other twin, was also told he could not stay. "The conversation ... just ain’t working with me, kind of romantically,” said Gabby, “I feel like I can’t build a very strong bond with either of the twins.” Sad. But at least he has his brother to travel home with.

Looks like the twins are headed back to Connecticut rose-less.
