If there's any celebrity who, despite their luxurious lifestyle, loves an inexpensive drugstore hair accessory, it's Bella Hadid. The woman adores an accessible headband, whether it's a zigzag headband or one of those stretchy plastic comb headbands. (She really is the queen of Y2K-inspired hair moments.) And now, she's topped off an effortlessly cool, casual look with a headband I've been known to use to keep my hair off my face when I'm doing my skin-care routine.
Hadid was spotted in New York City on Wednesday, January 22, wearing an oversized leather jacket over a black graphic tee and flared jeans. She accessorized with a coin-charm necklace, black boots, and sporty black sunglasses. But my favorite accessory has to be what I'm 99-percent sure is a Scünci No-Slip Grip Headwrap. The lightweight, skinny, stretchy black headband sits atop a messy middle part and covering part of her ears.
But I'm admittedly burying the lede here. After months of rich, chocolate-brown hair, seeing Hadid—whose nonalcoholic beverage brand, Kin Euphorics, was featured at the MAHA inaugural ball (take that information as you will)—in the bright, winter sunlight gives us a clear view of what appears to be deep, burgundy highlights. And even though the supermodel seemingly slapped on her Scünci without running a brush through her hair (girl, I get it), the deep, not-quite-natural-looking hair color reads as completely fabulous.
Although dark brown is Hadid's hair-color home base, she loves to switch things up. In Instagram photos that have since been removed, we've seen her with chunky, early-2000s highlights and blonde shades that bring out her resemblance to sister Gigi, so it's not surprise that she's dabbling in fun new hue.
But it begs the question: If Hadid is happy to wear a drugstore headband, do we think she's using a drugstore hair dye, too?
