Sorry to that old-fashioned box of chocolates, but these days there are far more interesting treats competing to be your sweetheart (or gifted to them) on Valentine's Day. Whether you choose to celebrate Valentine's Day, Galentine's Day, or just the fact that it's Friday, there are plenty of options to make Feb. 14 even sweeter. But if you were planning to spend the holiday on a date with your two favorite guys—Ben & Jerry—I've got good news. There's a brand-new, seasonally inspired flavor on shelves, and I'm completely smitten.
Ben & Jerry's Introduces Chocolate Covered Strawberry Flavor
Ben & Jerry's
Fresh on the heels of releasing its new Sundae pints, Ben & Jerry's is back to reveal its latest Limited Batch flavor: Chocolate Covered Strawberry. Inspired by perhaps the most romantic dessert of all time, Chocolate Covered Strawberry features a creamy strawberry base with a strawberry jam swirl and rich chocolate fudge flakes. And, as someone who recently tried Ben & Jerry's strawberry ice cream for the first time as part of its Scoop-apalooza flavors, I just know this is going to win over hearts.
Ben and Jerry aren't the only ones banking on the winning flavor combination of chocolate and strawberry in this season of love. In the last week alone, we saw a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Mocha launch at Dutch Bros, and Sam's Club introduced the Be Mine Choco-Strawberry Sundae in its café. And let's not forget about M&M's seasonal Strawberries & Creme candies in case you need something to sprinkle atop your Chocolate Covered Strawberry scoop.
Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Covered Strawberry ice cream is now arriving in freezers nationwide and will retail for $4.99-$6.49, depending on your location. And like a teenage crush, this flavor won't last long. Since it's a Limited Batch flavor, Chocolate Covered Strawberry is only on shelves while supplies last. So if you don't want to face one more heartbreak this February, you'd better run to the store before it's gone forever.
