The Best Dressed Celebrities Shined Bright on the 2024 BAFTAs Red Carpet
Catch up on all the red carpet glamour you might have missed.
Every major awards ceremony has its own unique fashion flavor. The Grammys are flashy and fun, the Golden Globes are a glamorous wild card, and the Oscars have big black-tie energy with the occasional nearly naked trending moment. The British Academy Film Arts Awards red carpet is among awards season's most elevated, but that doesn't mean that the BAFTA's best-dressed celebrities played things safe. In fact, the 2024 BAFTAs served up some of our favorite red-carpet looks of the year.
From Joy Sunday's latex gown, complete with a high-shine train, to Florence Pugh's visionary velvet and metallic Harris Reed-designed 'fit, this year's BAFTA Awards red carpet was marked by unexpectedly experimental glamour. Ahead, we've rounded up the best red carpet looks from this year's BAFTA Awards. Read on for a healthy dose of star-studded fashion inspiration.
Da'Vine Joy Randolph
Da'Vine Joy Randolph has been serving decadent drama courtesy of rich velvets all awards season long. Her custom Robert Wun gown, featuring a peachy ruched bodice and elegant cape, was no exception.
Rosamund Pike
Rosamund Pike has got quite the red carpet range. This awards season, she's served goth glamour at the Golden Globes, disco elegance at the Critics Choice Awards, and, at this year's BAFTAs, pale blue romance in an airy Christian Dior midi dress and Boucheron jewelry.
Cate Blanchette
Leave it to Cate Blanchette to bring both sophistication and edge to the red carpet. Her custom Louis Vuitton gown had a dose of punk energy courtesy of its leather shoulder pads, which was only compounded by an eclectic body chain.
Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh is one of our favorite celebs to watch on the red carpet. Simply put, our girl takes risks. Case in point: the daring genre-mixing in her Old Hollywood yet futuristic Harris Reed look, complete with a sumptuous shrug and stunning Boucheron jewelry.
Barry Keoghan
One of the best-dressed leading men of the evening, Barry Keoghan, opted for modern tailoring, courtesy of Burberry, in a deep shade of forest green.
Sheila Atim
Sheila Atim glimmered in a metallic Gucci with a molten finish that sparkled from every angle.
Emily Blunt
Also opting for metallics, Emily Blunt was all smiled in a sheer and intricately embroidered Elie Saab gown from the fashion house's Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
Lily Collins
Proving that statement sleeves are here to stay, Lily Collins also wore couture to the 2024 BAFTA Awards. The cream-colored ruffle off-the-shoulder sleeves on her Tamara Ralph Fall/Winter 2023 Couture gown echoed the silvery rosettes on the bodice for a striking and cohesive look.
Andrew Scott
Rarely have we seen a man commit to red — one of this year's trendiest colors — as wholeheartedly as Andrew Scott did on the BAFTA Awards red carpet. His custom Berluti head-to-toe red look was finished with a pair of striking ombre oxblood loafers, which managed to stand out on a carpet in the same color family.
Emma Stone
Emma Stone's custom Louis Vuitton gown was among the evening's most decisive. Its sheer skirt, asymmetrical sleeves, and peachy tone prove this gown is a work of art.
Ella Hunt
Accessorizing an already glittering metallic gown is no small feat, but Ella Hunt scored top marks by accentuating her sheer Tom Ford gown with a quartet of hammered gold Bulgari bangles.
Joy Sunday
Joy Sunday's Atsuko Kudo Couture latex gown was a showstopper. The actor kept her accessories to a minimum, the better to let her high-shine gown speak for itself.
Colman Domingo
Colman Domingo's red carpet style has been all bangers, no skips, this awards season. His custom Boss tuxedo was fashion perfection, reestablished that Domingo is a fashion icon, and reignited our love of wide-leg pants.
Emerald Fennell
Emerald Fennell's Armani Privé gown combined some of our favorite 2024 red carpet trends, including rosettes and lengths of rich velvet.
Margot Robbie
There was a hint of retro Barbie energy in Margot Robbie's color-blocked Armani Privé gown that had us yearning for the Barbiecore couture she served up during the Barbie Movie press tour last year.
Emma Corrin
Emma Corrin is known as something of an edgy fashion darling, and their bold custom Miu Miu look featuring Cartier jewelry and colorful tights proves they've earned the moniker.
Greta Gerwig
Greta Gerwig showed up and showed out in an Erdem gown from the designer's Fall/Winter 24 Ready-to-Wear collection. The dramatically proportioned piece managed to be both playful and elegant thanks to its sequin-splashed skirt and unexpected silhouette.
