Are you ever watching a TV show and suddenly realize that you’re paying more attention to the set than the actual plot of the show? Not that the show is bad, but sometimes it’s just hard to ignore the details within the homes that belong to some of our favorite TV characters. Most of these sets combine real-life exteriors with fake interiors located on a soundstage, but in the magical world of TV it always matches up. So, from Seinfeld and Sex and the City to American Horror Story and The Golden Girls, let’s take a look at some of the best (and a few of the worst) homes in television history.

Yes, this house was home to one of the most iconic families in television history, but that doesn’t excuse the scattered layout, sunken floors, and dark paneling everywhere.
