Over the years, they've spent hundreds of millions on their dream homes, often working with notable architects to find hidden gems on both the East and West Coasts.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have bought and sold several properties in the last decade or so, including a New Orleans church and a midtown Manhattan penthouse. But we're most interested in the homes they currently reside in, and we have all the details. Here, find out where the ultimate power couple spends their days.
Malibu, CA
In 2023, Beyoncé and Jay-Z spent a whopping $200 million on a mansion in Malibu, according to TMZ, which went untouched in the recent L.A. fires. The house was designed by renown architect Tadao Ando, whose previous works have been owned by the likes of Kanye West. The 30,000 square-foot compound looks over the Pacific Ocean from the cliffs above, and features Ando's signature concrete-and-glass construction. Photos of the mansion show a museum-like interior, with floor-to-ceiling windows and several pools.
Bel-Air, CA
In 2017, the power couple spent $88 million on their Bel-Air home, according to Business Insider. Designed by architect Paul McClean, the nearly 19,000 square-foot mansion is yet another modern masterpiece. The home features eight bedrooms, fifteen bathrooms, a fifteen-car garage, and basketball court, alongside outdoor spaces and several pools. One of the key interior features of the house is a spiral staircase that was carved out of a single piece of wood. The annual taxes alone cost nearly $1 million, Realtor.com reported.
Manhattan, NY
In the ultra-wealthy Tribeca neighborhood of New York, Jay-Z reportedly bought the penthouse apartment in this downtown building in 2004 for $6.8 million. In 2008, this is where Beyoncé and Jay-Z tied the knot. The penthouse, located at 195 Hudson Street, reportedly features an elegant balcony. The locale comes with famous neighbors, too: Hailey and Justin Bieber rent in the same building, and Bethenny Frankel is a former resident, according to the Post. A three-bed, 2-bath unit in the building was listed in May, 2024 and sold for $6.6 million, the New York Post reported.
Hamptons, NY
Every wealthy New Yorker heads to the Hamptons for the summer, but few do it like Beyoncé and Jay-Z. The couple reportedly spent $25.9 million on an East Hampton compound aptly named the Pond House, which was originally listed at $35.9 million in 2009. Created by legendary architect Stanford White–who built Madison Square Garden in 1891–the palatial Pond House comes in at 12,000 square-feet, and features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The old-school classic elements include parquet floors, marble bathtubs, and 18th-century fireplaces. It was built to overlook the Georgica Pond, which the couple can take a dip in if they ever tire of the outdoor pool.
