Beyoncé Shared Her AOTY Win With Blue Ivy Carter—See The Best Photos Of Them Onstage

Beyoncé chose to share her extraordinarily well-deserved first Album of the Year win with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Beyoncé brought Blue up with her onstage when she gave her acceptance speech. They held hands, hugged, and Blue couldn’t hide just how proud she was of her mother. She didn’t have to say anything to convey it to the world:

Beyoncé kept her acceptance speech brief, saying, 'I’d like to thank and acknowledge and praise all of the firefighters for keeping us safe. I just feel very full and very honoured. It’s been many, many years. I just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all of the hard work. I want to dedicate this to Ms. [Linda] Martell, and I hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors. God bless y’all. Thank you so much. Thank you.'

She then turned to her daughter and hugged her as the microphone descended from the stage:

Beyoncé has been effusive in her praise of her daughter. During the premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King, in which Blue voices Beyoncé’s character Nala’s daughter, Kiara, Bey wrote about how proud she was of her oldest child.

'My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night,' the singer shared on Instagram. 'You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.'

In September, she told GQ that Blue is an artist. 'She has great taste in music and fashion,' Beyoncé said. 'She is a fantastic editor, painter, and actress. She has been creating characters since she was three. She’s a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage [during the Renaissance World Tour]. Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.'
