It’s been a historic year for Canadian sports, with the Raptors bringing home their first Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy, and now with 19-year-old Mississauga native Bianca Andreescu breaking records as the first Canadian to win the U.S. Open.
Andreescu recently stopped by The Tonight Show and chatted with Jimmy Fallon about the love she’s been receiving from fellow Canadians following her historic win against Serena Williams. When asked about some of the famous faces that have reached out to congratulate her, Andreescu name-dropped some of her biggest fans.

“Shania Twain, Justin Trudeau, John Tory, Steve Nash, the Raptors, the Leafs - it’s been crazy,” she shared. “I’ve been feeling all the love from home and I truly appreciate it.”
The one famous fan that Andreescu is still waiting to hear from though? Drake. “Champagne Papi I’m waiting for you!” she laughed.
Andreescu and Fallon also discussed her record-breaking season, and her incredible jump in the tennis standings from 152nd place to her current fifth-place standing.
The tennis darling looked glamorous in a leopard-printed body-con dress by Dennis Basso, along with crystal drop earrings for her late-night television appearance. The figure-hugging silhouette showed off her athletic physique, and was a fashionable departure from her usual tennis whites.
If you’re looking to add a pop of animal print to your wardrobe for fall as well, we’ve rounded up some similar options to Bianca’s body-skimming leopard dress at every price point.
