Bill Clinton Rocks The Best Grandpa Style

Bill Clinton’s campaign style is a master class in casual wear. Just yesterday, he stepped on stage in Manchester, New Hampshire, wearing a cargo green sweatshirt. A sweatshirt? But the thing is, he looked great—at ease, cheerful, and age appropriate—and it didn’t matter that everyone else up there with him was more polished, with the Secret Service guys in suits and Hillary in her usual blue blazer. Bill looked comfortable, finally!

Whether he’s in a lumberjack flannel shirt (a favorite number that he’s worn on a multiple occasions with a blazer thrown over it (the blazer inevitably comes off)) or those quintessential non-faded, deep blue “dad” jeans (mid-rise, not cuffed, and worn with a basic belt and nondescript loafers), he looks effortless campaigning for—and deliberately not upstaging— his wife. Hell, he should wear that knit American flag sweater that he wore twice in Iowa even more frequently.

Here, a slideshow of his best grandpa-in-his-prime looks so far—it will be updated as the campaign continues. May his bright white New Balances make their debut soon!
