August Celebrates Black Breastfeeding Week, And We Want To Hear Your Experience As A Black Woman On Why You Did Or Didn't Decide To Breastfeed Your Baby

August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, where we highlight the beauty and challenges of the process. The last few days (Aug. 25–31) are recognized as Black Breastfeeding Week, where we also explore the disparities in breastfeeding among Black women.

And to share more stories, we'd love to hear from fellow Black women about their personal experience with breastfeeding, whether you pursued it or if you ultimately decided against it.

Maybe you decided to stop breastfeeding earlier than you expected or continued to do it longer than you initially prepared for.

Or maybe you didn't have the proper support from your partner, family, or work environment.

Whatever the reason, we'd like to hear from you. And please remember, as long as your child is surrounded by love, it doesn't matter to us whether you chose to breastfeed or not.
