Blackpink's Lisa Is ‘Super Excited And Nervous’ About Her First Acting Job In 'The White Lotus' S3
Being a world-famous pop star hasn't inoculated Blackpink's Lisa from feeling the pressures of making her small screen debut in the upcoming third season of The White Lotus.
Speaking to ELLE US, the K-pop star has admitted that she cried when she heard that she'd got a part in the next series of the hit HBO show. 'Oh my God, Mike White? I think he’s a genius,' Lisa said about the show’s creator tapping her for her acting debut. 'I think I cried. I was with my friends, my mum’s friends, and my mum as well, but I didn’t tell them that I auditioned for it. I’m super excited and nervous, because it’s my first acting project. So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, "Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?"'

Filmed in Bangkok and on the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui, the Thai star also confessed that the project was a welcome chance for her 'to be back home, to have Thai food every day,' and to have her mother close by on set.
While Lisa's role in The White Lotus has yet to be revealed, the series' producers announced their casting of Lisa alongside Sex Education's Aimee Lou Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger, whose character will reportedly be involved in finance.
Per Variety, specific details about the character Lisa is set to portray are being withheld from the public at this time, but it is believed that she will be credited in the series under her given name, Lalisa Manobal.
