Bode Rec. x Nike SS25: Touchdown Style, Round Two
Recently, you may have seen a lot of confusing talk online about “reheating your/his/her/their nachos”. It basically means recycling ideas. Whilst most recently attached to music – specifically, Lady Gaga's resurrection of her original sound for her brand-new album, Mayhem, (welcome back Mother Monster 2009) – it is applicable to a variety of contexts.
Sneakers, for example.
After all, trainer makers are known for depending on their oldie but goldie designs. Fortunately for them, sneakerheads welcome nostalgic releases.
Nike has the most powerful microwave of them all. Re-issues are almost always tasteful.
Which bring us to the sneakerverse's current hot topic: Bode Rec. x Nike, round two.
It's round one, in different colours. That means the sole silhouette in focus is, once again, the Astro Grabber, an American football model that hadn't been reheated until Emily Adams Bode Aujla, founder of her namesake brand, pulled it out of the archives.
This particular nacho is blackened and spread with an avocado hue for SS25. Two treats for the feet.
Cincinnati Bengals' wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase rocks them in the campaign.
Suffice to say, he ate that.
The green and black and the all-black Bode Rec. x Nike Astrograbbers are available tomorrow on Bode.com. The all-black colourway will also be available via raffle on Nike SNKRS app, End and other Nike retailers on Friday 21 March.
