‘Bodkin’: Netflix Drops Trailer, Reveals Premiere Date For Dark Comedy From The Obamas’ Higher Ground
Netflix is offering the first sneak peak of Bodkin, its dark comedic thriller about a motley crew of podcasters (Will Forte, Siobhán Cullen, Robyn Cara) who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in a quaint, coastal Irish town.
Dropping May 9, Bodkin is from Barack and Michelle Obama‘s Higher Ground productions — the company’s first scripted drama series at Netflix as part of its overall deal. David Wilmot (Station Eleven) and Chris Walley (The Last Voyage of the Demeter) also star in the seven-episode thriller that was shot in Ireland.

Scharf and Alex Metcalf (The Loudest Voice, Sharp Objects) serve as co-showrunners and executive produce with the Obamas, along with Tonia Davis for Netflix-based Higher Ground, David Flynn and Paul Lee for wiip and Nne Ebong for Netflix.
