A Body Language Expert Says Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Showed 'Unity' At Film Premiere
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended the premiere of Bob Marley: One Love in Kingston, Jamaica.
Body language expert Judi James assessed the couple's gestures at the public event.
She said Harry and Meghan showed "unity" as a "power couple as well as romantic couple."
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a rare appearance at the premiere of Bob Marley: One Love in Kingston, Jamaica—and naturally, body language experts are already out here doing their thing not even a day later. But because we know you're curious, well tell ya this: Turns out the Sussexes vibes were all about "unity," which we love to hear!
"The couple hold and re-hold hands using cupped hands in an ongoing gesture of unity," expert Judi James told the Daily Mail, adding that Meghan's body language in the below video is "careful and elegant-looking rather than a more spontaneous hugging gesture, meaning it seems to be aimed at defining them as an ongoing power couple as well as a romantic couple."
She also notes that "There is one rather sweet moment between Harry and Meghan when they part to walk on and Meghan brushes a hand down her dress and Harry mirrors and copies the gesture with his own outfit as though quietly taking his cue from her."
Meanwhile, Harry's "arm is around her back and her hand is carefully placed on his torso, flattened and with fingers pointing upward. Her eyes are softened and narrowed in a display sign to the cameras of loving affection, while that hand seems placed in a very celebrity way to signal proud ownership, in a 'he’s mine' signal."
Just FYI, Judi also spoke with the Sun and noted that "Meghan and Harry’s tactile, red carpet display of affection and togetherness here does seem to show Meghan at her confident, elegant best while Harry reveals some cues or tells beside her that give him a rather more awkward look."
I mean, he looks pretty at ease in this pic, but okay!
