'Breaking Bad' Albuquerque home is up for sale for $4 million

Fans of "Breaking Bad" are in for a treat. The iconic house that belonged to Walter White on the show is now up for sale, local news channel KOB-4 reported.

The home, in northeast Albuquerque, will soon be listed for $4 million, the channel said, even though it boasts a "Zestimate" of only about $350,000.

That's because the home still draws fans of the show from all over the world, more than a decade after the series ended. When producers were scoping out locations for the show, the home was owned by Fran and Louis Padilla, who had bought it in 1973.

The Padillas raised their children in the 1,900 square foot house. One daughter, Joanne Quintana, shared some memories with KOB-4, saying that fans would knock on the door and ask for photos. When that got to be too much, the family put up a fence. The Padillas aged, and eventually passed away, and the children felt it was time to sell.

The home's interior was used only for staging and for storing gear. Scenes were filmed in its exterior, however, including a memorable scene in the family's pool, the KOB report said. Quintana thinks whoever buys it should turn it into a museum or shrine to the show -- "what the fans want," she said.
