For one bride, a simple mistake led to an unfortunate situation on her wedding day.

In a video that has gone viral on TikTok, Jade Jensen — who lives in Adelaide, Australia — revealed that she accidentally took sleeping pills the morning of her wedding.

Over a clip of Jensen and her bridesmaids celebrating and getting ready for the ceremony, she wrote: "Little does she know she's about to open this bottle of champagne and the cork will hit her forehead the morning of her wedding, and she'll accidentally take two Restavit instead of Nurofen."

Restavit is used to relieve insomnia, while Nurofen is an over-the-counter pain reliever containing ibuprofen.

In the video's caption, Jensen added: "We can laugh about it now 😅."

The 27-year-old bride later recounted the incident in an interview with Newsweek, telling the outlet that she and her bridal party were gathered together, enjoying a brunch as they prepared for the wedding.

"I was opening a bottle of Veuve to start the morning tea when I took the cage off and wasn't holding tight enough when the cork, full speed, hit my forehead," she recalled.

Not wanting to have an unsightly bruise or bump on her forehead for her walk down the aisle, she ran to the freezer, presumably for ice.

After her makeup artist, who is also a nurse, advised her to take a Nurofen, she quickly searched through her medicine box and grabbed "a silver packet with smooth white pills."

Jensen took two of the pills — and then "immediately panicked" when she realized they were Restavit.

"Half a pill puts me to sleep, so two whole pills was going to put me in a coma," she explained. "I ran to the toilet in an attempt to get them out. I wasn't sure if I had, as I had just eaten breakfast."

As she fretted about the situation, her family and friends rallied around her and offered their support. Her mom also tracked down the groom to let him know what had happened.

"My mom assured him closer to the ceremony that I was doing okay, and he felt a lot calmer knowing I wasn't going to be a sleeping bride," Jensen told the outlet.

As it turned out, the medicine mixup wasn't the only wedding-day snafu for Jensen. When the bride was making her walk down the aisle, her dog got overly excited to greet her and pulled off her veil.

"To top off the day, I wore a three-meter [10-foot] veil, which was ripped out of my hair as I walked down the aisle," she told Newsweek. "This was thanks to our kelpie, Sassy."

But looking back, Jensen says the series of unfortunate events only made her big day more memorable. "It was absolutely hilarious and overall, an unforgettable wedding," she said.

Jensen's TikTok video has so far garnered more than 2.3 million views and, in the comments, many people commiserated with the new bride by sharing their own stories of mistakenly taking the wrong medication.

"If it makes you feel any better, I once took a laxative instead of a travel sickness tablet for a 6-hour car journey!" one person wrote.

Another commented: "Not my husband taking a restavit when I was in labor."

Yet another person joked, "There's no way I wouldn't have taken that as a sign to not get married 😂."
