A bride couldn't contain her happy tears when she opened one particularly special gift at her bridal shower.

When 24-year-old Parisa Jannesari, the bride's best friend and maid of honor, was contemplating what to get 26-year-old Paniz Saatsaz for her March 8 bridal shower, she knew it had to be something just as "special" as the bond they share.

"[Surprised] my best friend with [a] letters to the bride book!" Jannesari captioned a TikTok video of Saatsaz opening her handmade present.

In the video, which has more than 350,000 views, Saatsaz opened her "letters to the bride" book, which Jannesari describes as "a deeply meaningful gift, where those closest to the bride share handwritten letters about their relationship with her or anything they want her to carry with her forever."

Jannesari became visibly emotional as she flipped through the pages, which included 11 letters from her mother and her bridesmaids and photos of them together over the years.

"I knew this would be something the bride could hold onto forever, a tangible reminder of how loved she is," Jannesari tells PEOPLE.

Because the bridesmaids don't all live in the same state, it was "a bit challenging" and "took a while" to coordinate everything. However, once Jannesari had all of the materials, assembling the book only took an hour.

"The bridesmaids are incredibly close, and most of us grew up together as childhood friends, which made it even more meaningful," Jannesari says. "I’ve always known I wanted to create this book because our connection is so rare and special, and we've been a part of each other’s lives for as long as we can remember."

Saatsaz — who will get married on April 18 — "cherished" the gift.

"I felt like the richest person in the world. I immediately knew it would be so hard to read the letters, and that’s when you know you have the deepest friendships. And when I did read them, I needed to wipe my tears after every sentence with each letter," she says.

Now, Saatsaz's bridal party jokes that the sentimental letters will help end any future arguments.

"If she ever gets upset with one of us, all she has to do is read our handwritten letter to her, and she’ll be reminded of how much we love her," Jannesari says.

Commenters on TikTok called the gift "sweet" and "precious."

"You are so loved 🥹💕 girlhood in a video," one person wrote, with another commenting, "To be loved is to be considered 🥹🫰🏼🩵."
