The 'Bridgerton' Cast Members' Love Lives Are Even More Interesting IRL
It's the series that's no stranger to a stellar love story. In fact, since its debut in 2020, Bridgerton has given its legion of fans love story after love story, all of which have made us cry, laugh and swoon (but maybe not always in that order).
But away from the ton and their Regency-era characters, the actors who portray our beloved characters have love lives of their own, many of which are as worthy of attention as their fictional counterparts.
Because while Simon and Daphne's love affair had us gripped and Penelope and Colin's outing in the most recent third series left us wanting more, there's plenty more where that came from. Here’s everything to know about the real-life partners of the Bridgerton cast.
Regé-Jean Page
Regé-Jean Page, who plays Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings in season one of Bridgerton, sparked dating rumours with Emily Brown in 2021 when they were spotted kissing, although eagle-eyed fans believe their relationship pre-dates then to 2019, when the cast were filming the first season of the show. Nicola Coughlan shared a group photograph (which has since been deleted) of the cast enjoying the Netflix Christmas party in 2019, in which Page and Brown were seen cuddling up to each other.
In the years since, the two have kept their relationship mostly out of the public eye, but Brown has supported her partner at a number of events, including the 2024 BAFTA Gala, the BAFTA Awards afterparty in 2023 and the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscars party.
Phoebe Dynevor
Phoebe Dynevor, who appeared as Daphne Bridgerton in the first two seasons of the show, is engaged to Cameron Fuller, who she was first snapped with in March 2023. Fast forward a matter of months and in July 2023, they attended Wimbledon together, and made their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the EE BAFTA Film Awards Dinner in London, England in February 2024.
In May 2024, after Dynevor was spotted wearing a beautiful diamond ring on her ring finger, Fuller confirmed their engagement by posting a sweet photo of Dynevor’s elated reaction during his proposal.
Jonathan Bailey
In December 2023, Jonathan Bailey admitted that he was in a relationship with a 'lovely man' but refused to divulge anymore details.
'It’s not secret, but it’s private,' he told the Evening Standard. 'Having a private life is, for me, completely critical. I don’t know if I would be able to be as confident to speak out on other things if I felt that my whole life was up for grabs.'
Simone Ashley
Simone Ashley met her current boyfriend, GP Ice Race CEO Constantin 'Tino' Klein, in May 2022 when the two were at the Monaco Grand Prix together. In December of that year, Ashley hard-launched their relationship on Instagram, posting a string of images of the two of them amid snowy mountains with her dog.
They later made their first public appearance together at the Netflix BAFTA Awards afterparty in February 2023, which Ashley later posted about on Instagram.
Claudia Jessie
Claudia Jessie, who plays Eloise Bridgerton in the series, is in a relationship with the Bridgerton casting director Cole Edwards. While little is known about the timeline of their relationship, in an interview with The Guardian from April 2024, Jessie opened up about Edwards as she reflected on her Bridgerton audition. 'I got a job and a fella on the same day,' she told the outlet, adding, 'It was a great day for me, wasn’t it?'
Nicola Coughlan
Despite Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington, being linked to her co-star Luke Newton (spoiler alert: they're just friends), Coughlan is believed to have dated fellow actor Laurie Kynaston for a while, after meeting on the set of Derry Girls. It was reported though in May 2022 that the pair had gone their separate ways 'to focus on their acting careers.'
Luke Newton
Luke Newton, who plays Coughlan's love interest Colin Bridgerton in the series, recently confirmed his relationship with Greece's Got Talent contestant, Antonia Roumelioti, after the pair were pictured holding hands after leaving an afterparty together following the premiere of the second part of Bridgerton's third season.
