Brooke Shields Favors Winter Whites in Stella McCartney While Promoting Her Book in New York
Brooke Shields enjoyed a snow day in New York on Monday while promoting her new book, “Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old.” The model and actress selected a winter white Stella McCartney trenchcoat from the label’s fall 2024 collection.

“This is an era, insists Brooke, when women are reclaiming agency and power, not receding into the shadows,” a synopsis for her book reads. “These are the years when we get to decide how we want to live — when we get to write our own stories.”
Aging also inspired Shields to create her own line of hair care products for women over 40. Commence launched in June 2024.
“When I hit this age, I had a sense of accomplishment, but also this excitement that there is more to look forward to,” Shields told Beauty Inc in May. “I wanted this optimism to be something that we all shared with regards to how we age.”
McCartney’s latest collection debuted during Paris Fashion Week in September. Her spring 2025 line was crafted from 91 percent sustainable materials. Many guests, including Natalie Portman, also carried the label’s new vegan Ryder bag, a top-handle design featuring a sloped back.
“The collection flitted confidently between masculine archetypes — strong-shouldered tailoring, often pinstriped, and boyishly baggy jeans — and sexier fare: clinging knit dresses and bandeau tops, or sheer, sensually draped dresses, which seem to be everywhere this European season,” Miles Socha wrote.
Speaking to WWD backstage, McCartney discussed her label’s approach to eco-friendly fashion, which includes leather-working techniques using materials made from grapes and apples.
“We’re a very strange fashion house, in a sense, because obviously we have sustainability and stopping animal cruelty at the core of everything that we do, and then you have to couple that with the fact that I’m a fashion designer, and I want it to just look effortless and beautiful,” McCartney explained.
