Brooke Shields Is Still the Blueprint for Bold, Fluffy Brows

From her early modeling days starting at 11 months old to her breakout role in the 1978 drama Pretty Baby, the American sweetheart's bushy brows have been a trademark of her renowned beauty. Back in June 2021, the Commence founder spilled her secrets to InStyle, revealing that eyebrow maintenance is a regular part of her beauty routine, while full faces of makeup are not. And, Shields's brow methods are not what you might expect: she foregoes popular brow gels and liners for things she already has in her makeup bag. "I have yet to find a good gel that doesn't get crunchy," she shared with us at the time. "I'll put my lip gloss or conditioner balms on them. It cleans them up a bit and adds a sheen." She also had a big piece of advice when it comes to sculpted brows: "Don't over-pluck!"

A few months later, Shields uploaded a more in-depth eyebrow-shaping tutorial to her Instagram with the caption, "Here's how I create THE eyebrows!" Her secret then was a Prismacolor Ebony pencil, which isn't a makeup product—it's a graphite tool used for sketching. She finished her routine off with a more traditional product, the Trish McEvoy Brow Perfector, which she shared "keeps them really pretty and fresh!"
