A Buncha Spoiler-y Pics from the 'Madame Web' Set Just Dropped!
Marvel's Madame Web is currently filming in New York City, and while details on the plot are super hush-hush, you can go ahead and start theorizing thanks to a ton of pap pics from the set. First we have Dakota Johnson (who plays Madame Web, aka Cassandra Webb) at Grand Central station:
Plus, here's Dakota and Sydney Sweeney (who's playing a mysterious ~TBD~ character):
Here's Isabela Merced (there are theories that she's play Spider-Girl!!!!):
And here's Celeste O'Connor (her role is a mystery thus far!):
The cast were also spotted filming together outside a subway station:
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Madame Web is a "clairvoyant mutant who specializes in predicting the future of Spider-themed superheroes"—including Spider-Man, not to mention "multiple generations of heroes calling themselves Spider-Woman." The thing is, Madame Web is usually depicted as older (she's on a web-like life support system), so chances are this is her origin story.
Either way, Dakota was asked about how it felt to return to a blockbuster by Collider, and said “I guess having experience on all tiers of films I can bring maybe some stuff from the little movies to the big movies that I want to see in them, you know? I really love seeing large-scale films that still have heart in them.”
Also in the cast? Let's see... Emma Robert's came on board in June and Adam Scott signed on in July. So far, the plot is pretty under-the-radar (there are some rumors that you can read about over here), so feel free to read into these photos for spoilers! And mark your cals, because Madame Web will reportedly drop on October 6, 2023.
