New businesses, including Chipotle and Toasted Yolk, coming to Bradenton. Take a look

The vibrant Bradenton area retail and restaurant scene keeps on bubbling with new businesses arriving in the area.

Here’s the latest:

Toasted Yolk Cafe, a breakfast chain born in Texas, has two area restaurants planned: one at 5502 Cortez Road W., Bradenton, and the other at 6564 University Parkway, #122, Lakewood Ranch.

The estimated opening date for the Bradenton Toasted Yolk is in July and, while the Lakewood Ranch restaurant is forecast to open in August, Chris and Kelly Milton said in an email.

The restaurant concept was founded by Chris Milton and Mathew DeMott in Houston in 2010. There are now more than 35 Toasted Yolk Cafe locations across several states in the chain.

Cafe di Lorenzo, 608 14th St. W., Bradenton, plans its soft opening Tuesday, June 11.

The Italian restaurant is in a spot formerly home to Theresa’s Restaurant and most recently the Salt and Pepper Cafe.

The restaurant bills itself as the home to the world’s largest pizza. Chef Lorenzo Amato’s biggest pizza event was in 1991 on a 10-acre site north of Tallahassee.

Owner Marina Garofalo has news clippings from the making of the giant pizza framed in the restaurant. Her father is Lorenzo Amato, who has been helping open the restaurant.

Lunch hours: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Dinner hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, dinner only will be served 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant will be closed Mondays.

Spencer’s. While it’s not a restaurant, it’s worth nothing that Spencer’s, known for its unconventional, quirky, fun offerings is making a comeback in Manatee County.

Spencer’s last had a presence in the Bradenton area in the DeSoto Square mall, which closed in 2021. The mall property has gone to new owners who have redevelopment plans.

A Spencer’s representative confirmed by email this week that Spencer’s will be opening a new 3,600-square-foot store at Ellenton Premium Outlets this fall at 5165 Factory Shops Blvd.

“Spencer’s is the go-to destination for the latest trends, tees, body jewelry, décor and more, celebrating our mantra ‘Life’s a party – and we’re makin’ it fun,’ for over 75 years,” the company says.
