Canadian NHLer Ethan Bear and wife Lenasia are expecting their second child: 'Bear cub number 2'
The 26-year-old hockey player and his wife welcomed their daughter, Gracie, in Jan. 2023.
Ethan and Lenasia Bear are expecting their second "cub" in July 2024.
On Sunday, the 26-year-old Canadian NHLer, who plays for the Washington Capitals, and his wife shared new photos of their growing family to Instagram, with Lenasia's bump proudly on display.
"Bear cub #2 in 2024," the couple captioned the photos that feature their one-year-old daughter, Gracie, holding a a small pair of moccasins.
In a separate post, Lenasia included more photos from their family photo shoot that featured Gracie wearing a custom knit sweater that read, "Big sis."
"Bears are growing by one," she penned in the caption.
Fellow NHL players, as well as fans, flooded the comments section with well-wishes.
Nicolas Aubé-Kubel, who also plays for the Washington Capitals, commented: “Cute little family,” while New Jersey Devils player Curtis Lazar wrote: “Congrats Bearsy!”
“These photos are stunning. You have a beautiful family! Congratulations. So happy for you!,” an Instagram user commented.
“Gracie is gonna be the sweetest big sis ever,” a fan chimed in.
“Congratulations! Y'all are adorable,” wrote another.
“Beautiful announcement! Congratulations. Hope you are feeling well,” someone else shared.
The Bears exchanged vows last summer. In August, they gave fans a glimpse into their special day held at the 50th Parallel Estate Winery in Lake Country, B.C..
"Take me back to the most beautiful day of my life with all of our amazing people who have helped shape our love and experienced the best years with us," Lenasia shared in the caption, adding,"We will never have everyone in the same room again together but we have these cherished memories to forever look back on!"
"Thank you to the amazing team who helped bring this vision to life, we wouldn't [have] been able to do it without you all,” she added.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Gracie Bambi Bear, on January 23, 2023.
"Gracie Bear turns 1 today," Lenasia wrote in a birthday tribute to her daughter. "We are so blessed to have such a beautiful and funny daughter making each day full of amazing memories! We can’t wait to celebrate you each year our perfect baby bear."
