Tanya Kim knows how to deliver Monday motivation.
Yesterday, the Canadian TV personality took to Instagram to share an inspirational video about mental health and self-love with her almost 29,000 followers.
In the clip, the Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.-native filmed herself standing in her living room while the words: "Um, who invited you guys?...Imposter syndrome...Self-doubt...Feelings of insecurity," appeared on the screen. The song "Bye Bye Bye" by NSYNC played in the background, and as the chorus hit, Kim waved goodbye to these three demeaning qualities.
"Imposter syndrome, self-doubt, feelings of insecurity... anyone out there relate?," she began in the caption.
Kim also reminded her followers of the benefits of therapy and that although life can be tough, we are capable of healing, love and compassion.
"Some days are so much harder than others when it comes to sitting with and working through these feelings, but with a lot of self patience, even more self-compassion, and the support of my holistic therapist Jen — It’s OK to go to therapy!" she continued. "The healing continues and love for self blooms. Remember: we can only heal it when we allow ourselves to feel it. Sending you love, light and healing."
Fans loved the empowering post and praised the TV star for opening up about such an important topic.
"This is such an inspiring message!" commented a follower. "I swear your posts come at the times I need them most, especially when I'm feeling low. Thanks for brightening my day!"
"Love this! Thank you for speaking out about this serious topic! Imposter syndrome hits many of us at some point and it's not fun at all," added another.
"Love this empowering message!" a fan told Kim.
