It looks like Candace Cameron Bure traded in her blonde hair for a darker (and redder!) shade recently.

Over the weekend, fans did a double take while scrolling through Instagram when they saw the 44-year-old actress post a selfie flaunting her new hair color. In the photo, Candace is on the set of her latest Hallmark Channel project Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: How to Con a Con with her fellow costar Niall Matter, who plays Nick Miller.

“Don’t be fooled, Niall is smiling and filled with joy under that mask 😜,” she wrote on Instagram. “We can’t wait for you all to see the new Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: How To Con A Con on March 14th at 8/7c on @hallmarkmovie 🙌🏼.”

In case you’re not caught up on the hit TV movie series The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries is based on the best-selling crime novels by author Charlaine Harris. In the Hallmark Channel franchise, Candace plays a librarian named Aurora “Roe” Teagarden who has a passion for solving mysteries. With the help of the Real Murders Club, a group of true crime enthusiasts, she gets to the bottom of befuddling situations.

While fans loved seeing the two Teagarden costars together, many couldn’t get over Candace’s new red hair. “CANDACE, WHY DOES YOUR HAIR ALWAYS LOOKS SO GOOD,” one person wrote. “Love the red hair! 😍❤️,” another added. “The hair color is fantastic!” a different fan said. “Love the red color,” a follower commented.

The Fuller House star began dyeing her hair the same strawberry hue back in 2015 when The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries franchise first launched. At the time, she revealed to Glamour how she felt about the change.

“I feel like either Jessica Rabbit or Ariel [from The Little Mermaid]," she told the outlet. "I like being a redhead. I feel very bubbly as a blonde, which is natural for me. But there's something different about being a redhead. I feel a little more mature with it. I loved it right away, but I think my husband prefers me blonde!”

Over the years, the mother of three has been spotted on and off with the red hairstyle. But she always eventually returns to her blonde color. Of course, whatever hair color Candace has, she always looks gorgeous no matter what.
