In 2024, Carbone Fine Food sold more than 18 million jars of sauce. And it's looking to surpass that number in 2025 with the help of five brand-new pasta sauce flavors.

On Wednesday, the company announced the addition of its latest flavors, which include Sweet Pepper & Onion, Mediterranean Marinara, Black Truffle Alfredo, Mac & Cheese Alfredo, and Lemon Pepper Alfredo. Each, the company shared with Food & Wine, was created by chefs Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi, as part of their mission to "reinterpret classic Italian-American cuisine through a contemporary culinary lens.

"The continued growth of the Carbone Fine Food sauce family is always exciting," Carbone told Food & Wine. "With the birth of each new flavor we introduce, we have the pleasure of delighting new taste buds. It's important to us to consistently push the boundaries of flavor, crafting unforgettable dining experiences that elevate every meal."

According to the team, it did 37 rounds of testing before it got to the final version of all the new flavors. "Some sauces hit out of the gate, and others took a little more time," they shared. "You never know what sauce will be done the first take and what sauce will take a month of R&D."

As for the flavors that did make it out of the test kitchen, there's the Sweet Pepper and Onion, which the company says "combines the caramelized flavor of roasted peppers and sauteed onions with the sweetness of 100% Italian tomatoes and rosemary." There's also the Mediterranean Marinara, which includes the "flavors of Southern Italy by bringing together a savory medley of black olives and capers with 100% Italian tomatoes, garlic, and fresh herbs," along with the Black Truffle Alfredo, a "rich and creamy blend of Parmesan and Romano Cheeses with Black Truffles." Rounding out the additions is the Mac & Cheese Alfredo, a "rich blend of aged white cheddar cheese, cream, butter, and spices," and the Lemon Pepper Alfredo, which combines a "creamy blend of Parmesan and Romano cheeses complemented with the perfect balance of cracked black pepper and fresh lemon."

“As always, we’re focused on making it easy for people to enjoy incredible meals at home,” Carbone added. “These five new sauces make good on our promise to bring bold, exciting flavors to the table with the same quality and care that’s at the heart of everything we do.”

The new flavors are now available nationwide at Whole Foods Market and will roll out at additional retailers in the coming months, though you can always find them at carbonefinefood.com.
