French brand Caudalie's Resveratrol-Lift line is a cult classic when it comes to skincare, but sometimes even the greatest hits are in need of a refresh. That’s why the anti-aging collection is getting a makeover, which means that their existing Resveratrol and Hyaluronic Acid formulas will now include a vegan collagen alternative component.

Billed to be 2x more effective than retinol when it comes to firming and lifting the skin and reducing the look of wrinkles and fine lines, the formulas are also cleaner and more sustainable than the original versions. They’re now formulated without the use of PEGs, silicones, microplastics, or chemical sun filters, and feature around 95% natural ingredients.

In order to see whether the line holds up to its bold claims, I got my hands on the entire collection to see whether the new and improved skincare products are worth making the switch to.

First impressions

What I noticed immediately with this line is that after one use, my skin skin appeared visibly firm and felt tightened. Over time, I did notice some softening of fine lines, but it takes a few weeks before you start to notice the results. It’s a mild formula, but offers visibly smoother and much brighter skin. I also loved the light fragrance with notes of basil, lemongrass, chamomile, thyme and orange blossom. However, some may not prefer to have fragrance infused in their skincare, particularly if you’re prone to sensitive skin.

After putting the entire line to the test for the past few weeks, some products were definite winners while others weren’t for me. Scroll through to find my two cents on each of Caudalie’s newest launches before giving them a shot yourself.

This oil-free serum visibly firms and smoothes the skin, and gives a soft radiant look. With a light milky texture that absorbs easily, it hydrates the skin and leaves it feeling soft and plump all day.

The Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift Lightweight Firming Cashmere Cream is formulated to hydrate the skin, being absorbed easily without leaving behind a greasy feel. However, since I suffer from extremely dehydrated skin, I prefer the richer cream version over this lightweight option.

The name is pretty apt for this cream - it's as light and soft as cashmere. After one use, my skin looked and felt more plump. It's not at all heavy or greasy, and sinks into the skin easily. It was also the most effective product at firming the skin and softening the appearance of fine lines.

Composed with more than 98% natural origin ingredients and enriched with olive squalane, this nourishing cream soothes dry skin while making it feel hydrated and refreshed. While I didn’t notice any difference in facial contours (as it claims to help define), it definitely works to hydrate and brighten the skin. Every morning I’d notice that my skin was smooth, bouncy and fresh.

This product really works well at de-puffing and hydrating the eye area, while also targeting the look of dark circles. Its light gel texture absorbs quickly, and there's no oily residue left behind, making it a standout pick for me.
