Celine Dion Makes Surprise Appearance at 2024 Grammys in Valentino Couture to Present Taylor Swift With Album of the Year Award
Celine Dion was the final surprise of the 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday in Los Angeles. The singer showed up onstage to announce the winner of the Album of the Year, which was awarded to Taylor Swift for “Midnights.”
Dion wore a mustard-colored mohair coat and pink silk wrap dress from Valentino’s “Le Salon” spring 2024 couture collection. Created by Pierpaolo Piccioli, the collection debuted on Jan. 24.

“I want the kind of crowd that used to be in the salon de couture when couture was born, but with different kinds of clothes that belong to this time, because I want all of this process of couture to become contemporary,” Piccioli explained during the collection preview, as previously reported by WWD.
Dion worked with her longtime stylist, Law Roach, to create her look. The singer was accessorized with diamonds by Tiffany & Co., including a bracelet, earrings and a necklace.
During her career, Dion has been dressed by many fashion houses, including Oscar de la Renta, Balenciaga, Versace, Chanel and Alexandre Vauthier. With Valentino, she shares a special moment that went viral in 2019. The singer got emotional at the maison’s fashion show that was set to Roberta Flack’s “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” which was Dion’s and her late husband René Angélil’s wedding song.
In December 2022, Dion shared her diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome, which is a neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and spasms. She canceled all her scheduled tour dates through April 2024 and has since been out of the spotlight.
The 2024 Grammys celebrated the biggest artists, albums and songs of the year. Hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, the 66th annual ceremony featured performances from Billie Eilish, SZA, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo, among others.
