The Lowcountry is bursting with exciting New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day events to suit all tastes.
Here are some events happening this New Year’s for you or the whole family to enjoy:
New Year’s Eve Events
New Year’s Eve Black & Gold Gala at Poseidon Rooftop Bar: 38 Shelter Cove Lane, Hilton Head Island
Pull out your best outfit and ring in the new year style with this Great Gatsby-themed celebration at Poseidon’s Rooftop Bar. Music and complimentary champagne will be handed out at midnight. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the event is for those 21 and up. Tickets are required, $20 per person.
The Jazz Corner New Year’s Eve Gala: 1000 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island
For good food and entertainment this New Year’s Eve, visit The Jazz Corner for a performance by Noel Freidline Quintet and Maria Howell. The Noel Freidline Quintet has performed in festivals from Florida to Switzerland and Howell is known for her acting and captivating voice. Tickets are required and range from $55 to $60. A Prix Fixe dinner is also available for $155 and includes a four-course dinner, champagne toast and party favors. Tickets and reservations open soon.
New Year’s Eve Dinner at the Crazy Crab Harbour Town: 149 Lighthouse Road, Hilton Head Island
Ring the New Year with the Crazy Crab. The New Year’s Eve Dinner starts at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 9:45 p.m. Meals include a starter with a choice of crab soup or garnered salad, an entree with either salmon or prime rib and a fudge cake for dessert. $40 per person, reservations can be made here.
Comedy Magic Cabaret NYE Party: 843 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island
If you’re looking for a good laugh, head over to the Comedy Magic Cabaret for the annual New Year’s Eve for a performance by Kelly Pollock and a special guest. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. This event includes a champagne toast, party favors, souvenir gifts and prizes throughout the evening. There will also be food, photo opportunities and a (early) New Year countdown. Tickets are required.
Brother Shucker’s on Hilton Head: 7 Greenwood Drive, Suite 3, Hilton Head Island
Join Brother Shucker’s for their Black and White New Year’s Bash. Music and prizes will be awarded to the best dressed. This event has no cover fee and includes a free champagne toast and New Year’s cake at midnight.
Brody’s Bar and Grill: 47 Ferry Drive, Beaufort
For the sports lovers, ring in the new year with Brody’s Bar and Grille, starting at 11 a.m. With cold drinks, hot food and (of course) football, you can celebrate your team’s win and 2025 all at once.
Farm New Year’s Eve 2024: 1301 May River Road, Bluffton
Join Farm in Bluffton for a special four-course Prix Fixe menu to celebrate the new year. This event also has an optional wine pairing with Farm manager, Kayla Moran. This event starts at 5 p.m. and tickets are required.
Sea Pines Resort Ball Drop: 149 Lighthouse Road, Hilton Head Island
Ring in the New Year the Lowcountry way with Sea Pine Resort Habour Town Lighthouse Ball Drop. Enjoy food, entertainment and live music throughout this event and count down to the ball drop into the New Year. There will be two drops, 7 p.m. and midnight.
Learn Together Lowcountry New Year’s Eve Party: 15 Williams Drive, Okatie
Need something for the kids? Learn Together Lowcountry is kicking off the new year early with a morning full of fun for children ages 6 to 11. This event begins at 10 a.m. and includes brunch, games, music and a balloon drop. This event is a drop-off so parents can enjoy the morning. Tickets are required.
New Year’s Day Events
Polar Plunge: Coligny Beach, 1 Coligny Circle, Hilton Head Island
If you’re bold and willing to get cold, join Hilton Head Island’s annual Polar Plunge for the start of 2025. Take a refreshingly cold dip in the ocean and keep the fun going in the costume contest and raffle. Starting at 10:30 a.m. on January 1, 2025.
Pelican Plunge: 2555 Sea Island Parkway, St Helena Island
Visit Hunting Island this New Year’s Day for the 15th annual Pelican Plunge. This event starts with a costume parade at 12:30 p.m. and the plunge starts at 1 p.m. Prizes, food trucks and t-shirts will be available. Tickets are required, adults are $10 and children are $5.
