Chick-fil-A brings back retired favorite — but only in this city. Here’s what to know

A retired Chick-fil-A favorite is back, though only some fans will have the chance to celebrate its sweet return.

Fans of the carrot raisin salad can find it exclusively at the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House in Hapeville, Georgia, for the month of May, according to a post shared on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

“That’s right, get ready to savor every bite of this classic favorite at the Dwarf House!” the restaurant wrote May 1. “Swing by and indulge in the deliciousness you’ve been missing.”

The beloved side was a mainstay at Chick-fil-A for 40 years before being phased out in 2013, Mashed.com reported.

Since then, the carrot raisin salad has appeared on menus as a limited-time offering at Truett’s Grill restaurants in Griffin, McDonough and Morrow, but isn’t currently being served, team members confirmed to McClatchy News.

Part of founder S. Truett Cathy’s slate of branded restaurants, the Dwarf House and Truett’s Grill serve items from the Chick-fil-A menu alongside other offerings including hamburgers, fried okra and collard greens.

Don’t live nearby? No worries. Chick-fil-A shared the carrot raisin salad recipe online for fans who can’t get to the Georgia location.
