Chick-fil-A Just Changed a Popular Menu Item and Customers Are FUMING

Chick-fil-A is known for its selection of savory chicken sandwiches, but the restaurant has also garnered quite the reputation for irresistible Waffle Potato Fries. Unfortunately for some French fry fanatics, Chick-fil-A recently made a purported minor change to the recipe that seems to already be having major repercussions.

On its website, the fast food behemoth announced that it had made "a slight adjustment" to its Waffle Potato Fries recipe to ensure that the fries "stay crispier, longer." The chain notes that the new recipe doesn't contain any of the nine major allergens, but the coating for the new fries does contain pea starch.

Fans have flocked to Chick-fil-A's most recent Instagram post, which is unrelated to the recipe change, to sound off with their thoughts.

"CFA I love you more than anyone. You can do no wrong. Except the fries. Please put them back 🫶🏼," begged one loyal fan.

One sad customer says they are now unable to visit Chick-fil-A at all anymore due to the inclusion of pea starch in the new recipe. "Please go back to the original fries. My daughter has an allergy to peas and pea protein. We can no longer visit the restaurant due to allergy concerns and cross contamination," they wrote.

Many (many) say they miss the restaurant's "soggy fries."

"We want soggy!" cried one. "I love soggy fries. Please, we are begging you!" pleaded another.

Others are completely turned off by the taste of the new Waffle Potato Fries.

"Please bring back the old fries! The new ones aren’t good," one person commented, while another added: "The new fries are terrible 😢😢😢 please return to sender!!!"

"I love a good crispy fry, but the new ones taste bad and unfortunately half are inedible because they are hard as rocks," read another complaint.

Who knew soggy fries had such a dedicated following?
