'Childless Cat Ladies Unite!': Taylor Swift's Fans React To Her Endorsement Of Kamala Harris
Swifties are rejoicing the world over after their patron saint endorsed Kamala Harris for president just minutes after the televised US presidential debate drew to a close last night.
In an Instagram post shared to her 283 million followers, Swift said that the Democratic candidate would be the 'warrior' to fight for the rights and causes she believes in. 'As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can,' she wrote, adding: 'I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election.'

'I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,' she added, after also addressing AI-generated images shared by Donald Trump in late August that falsely depicted Swift and her fans endorsing his campaign for president. Swift's post garnered 1 million in the 13 minutes after she posted it.
Flocking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their joy, one Swiftie wrote, 'Childless cat ladies of the world, unite!', while another joked, 'taylor swift heard people were eating cats & she stood tf up.'

After she learned of Swift's rapid endorsement, Kamala Harris walked off-stage at a post-debate rally in Pennsylvania to one of the star's singles, 'The Man', which lyricises the disparities between how men and women are treated and respected.

Selena Gomez, Blake Lively and Charli XCX are among the legion of famous faces to have liked it.
