If the last decade has taught us anything, it's that no one has to wait until Halloween to sport bold fantasy hair colors. What was once considered costume-y and unreasonable for everyday looks became totally acceptable any time of year in the aughts and twenties. But that doesn't mean spooky season can't serve to embolden you if you've been refraining from trying a funky color. Just look at Christina Aguilera, for example.

The singing superstar is never shy about trying fun colors, though she definitely tends to stick to her bombshell blonde. And she hasn't totally strayed from that look with the new hue she showed off on her Instagram stories. In the photo, she thanks the Beetlejuice Afterlife Experience, an immersive event inspired by the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movie. And it looks like Aguilera was inspired by the movie, too, considering her hair has green highlights not all that dissimilar from the titular character—but much cuter.

Aguilera's micro bangs—those alone are newsworthy—are dyed lime green. Her straight but textured blonde hair reaches past her shoulders, and the ends are dip-dyed the same slimy color.

Based on the clip she posted a few hours later, in which her hair is no longer even the slightest bit green, she was either wearing a wig or tried a temporary hair color. If you'd like to do the latter, Best of Beauty Award winner Hally Shade Stix One Day Hair Color in Green is a super easy option that washes out in one shampoo.

Baby bangs, on the other hand—not so temporary.
