Clams, kimchi and hot honey on pizza? This Seattle-based chain is opening in Bellingham

MOTO Pizza, a unique chain pizza restaurant known for bright neon boxes, funky toppings and locations in T-Mobile Park and Seattle, is opening a new restaurant in Bellingham in 2025.

The new location was confirmed by The Bellingham Herald back in December. Officials say they’ll bring a “delightfully odd mix of Detroit, New York, Roman and Filipino goodness, to Bellingham,” according to the restaurant’s website.

“I can confirm we have our eyes set on Bellingham in 2024,” Gerard Figurelli, CEO of Moto wrote in an email to The Bellingham Herald back in 2023.

The restaurant serves pizzas with toppings such as Dungeness crab, spicy sausage, clam, pepperoni, kimchi, beef adobo, spicy honey, shrimp and the MOTO cheese blend.

“MOTO Pizza is planning to begin construction on their new location this winter, with a soft target to open in April of 2025,” Figurelli wrote in a recent email to The Bellingham Herald.

The precise location was not disclosed because of complications, but the restaurant will be MOTO’s first location with a drive-through and drone delivery, according to Figurelli.
