We're not yet into the dog days of summer — but, when you and your brood are splashing around in the surf and at the local community pool, don't forget about some cool, refreshing relief for your four-legged friend(s). Remember: They'll be walking around in the sweltering sun wearing a fur coat!
Here's a terrific — and eminently affordable — way to show them some love. The Jasonwell Foldable Dog Pool, on sale starting at just $28 for the small size, is perfect for helping pups cool off during the hottest days of the year. There’s virtually no set-up time involved, either: Just unfold the pool, fill it up with water and have a blast splashing around.
If you have Amazon Prime, you’ll the pool in time for the weekend and with free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And even those without Prime get free shipping on orders of $25 or more).
The pool, which is available in five sizes (all on sale!), is made of an ultra-durable PVC with a thicker, slip-resistant material at the bottom. To drain, you have two options: Either open the cap to quickly release water or attach a hose for a slow drip.
Perhaps the best part of the pool, however, is how easy it is to store. Since it folds up, just toss it in the garage or throw it in your trunk to give your pup a cool spot to cool off in on a camping trip or at a friend’s house.
“My senior 98-pound Golden Retriever LOVES his new pool!” one proud pet pawrent shared. “It's the best day he's had in months when we filled it with water and toys for the first time!”
“OMG! Where has this pool been all my bulldog’s life?!” another added. “It's awesome. My bullie overheats easily and this pool is collapsible, foldable AND comes with its own carry bag! I can't keep him out — even WITHOUT water, lol! I love this pool and so does Turkey!”
“This pool is easy to set up.... first I set it up on the grass but when the dog jumped in and out I found the water got muddy really quick,” one shopper advised. “Now it's set up on the deck and he will play by himself for an hour or so — so funny. I put some plastic balls/toys in the pool and he just splashes around. Great way to beat the heat!”
