During the holiday season, in some Italian kitchens you’ll stumble across a delicious treat called pandoro. This cake-like sweet bread comes in a star shape with a golden, fluffy interior. It’s a light, airy pastry often filled with cream, chocolate, or marmalade and dusted with powdered sugar to resemble snow-capped mountains.

It turns out that getting your hands on one of the majestic desserts might be easier than it looks, too: Costco just stocked its aisles with cases of pandoros from an old-school Italian confectionery company.

Melegatti is an Italian sweets business that has been selling desserts since 1894. They make classic panettones and ones stuffed with caramel or chocolate, as well as croissants filled with ingredients like apricot jam, custard, or pistachio cream. For the holidays, you can also grab one of their traditional pandoros or one crafted with tiramisu or limoncello.

One of Melegatti’s most popular flavors is tiramisu, but the bad news is that it’s sold out almost everywhere online. Luckily, this year Costco rolled out cases of Melegatti’s tiramisu-flavored pandoro for nearly half the price (they’re only $9.49 each). The light and airy pastry is enriched with mascarpone, coffee syrup, and cocoa powdered sugar.

Shoppers are so excited about this new drop from Costco. One person commented on this Instagram post detailing the find, saying, “Love this item!! Yum.” Another user mentioned how “adorable” the pandoros are.

This tiramisu-flavored pandoro from Melegatti likely won’t last too long in Costco stores — especially with the holidays approaching. So if you want to serve this Italian sweet during your festivities, you’ll want to head over to your nearest Costco location to stock up.
